September Character Trait: Respect

At PACT, we focus on character-based education. Each month, we focus on one of our defined traits.

Attendance Matters: Be Present Every Day

Regular attendance is key to academic and personal growth. Students who are present each day strengthen their reading and math skills, build positive habits, and are better prepared for long-term success. If challenges are making it difficult to attend daily, please connect with your principal — we’re here to support you!

Safety Protocols at PACT

PACT is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive with confidence. We've adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and work closely with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders to keep our campuses prepared. Students and staff regularly participate in safety drills, including holds, evacuations, and severe-weather procedures.

Each campus maintains its own crisis team, supported by a district-wide team of trained professionals who coordinate a unified response during emergencies. While some details can't be shared publicly for security reasons, you can learn more about our safety protocols on our website

Thank you for partnering with us to keep PACT safe. If you have questions, please reach out to your building principal.

A simple line drawing of an open laptop displays the red text "CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE" on its screen.

Chromebook Repair and Insurance

Secondary and Online students are issued 1:1 Chromebooks, while Elementary students use them in the classroom and cannot take them home. If a Chromebook is lost or damaged, whether at school or at home, parents are required to cover the cost.

To help with costs, PACT offers optional Chromebook Insurance at $30 per student or $50 per family for the first repair, and additional costs for the second repair. Insurance does not cover repairs beyond that.

We highly recommend insurance, as repair costs can run into the hundreds of dollars.

If you are interested in Chromebook Insurance, email helpdesk@pactcharter.org and provide your name, the student's name, and the student ID# (if known). You will be invoiced through ParentSquare.

Start the Week Strong with a Monday Check-In

As we begin building routines for online learning, one pattern stood out during our first week: students who started their work early in the week were more likely to complete their assignments by Saturday.

We encourage families to sit down together at the beginning of each week, open Schoology, and review what needs to be completed. During your check-in:
  • Look through each course and identify the week's assignments.
  • Make a plan for what will be completed each day.
  • Schedule time to attend a teacher's Google Meet if your student may need help.
  • Make sure your student knows how to contact a teacher with questions.
Starting early gives students time to ask questions, make adjustments, and avoid having too much work left for the end of the week — helping them stay organized, build independence, and begin each week with confidence.

Thank you for partnering with us to help your student succeed!

These results give us a clear picture of where each student is starting the year so we can tailor instruction to their needs. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early and bring a fully charged Chromebook. We'll follow up with specific check-in details and directions closer to the date. Thank you for helping your student show up ready to do their best!
