Save Receipts for School SuppliesMinnesota Revenue offers two valuable tax benefits for families who purchase school supplies for K–12 students: the K-12 Education Credit and Subtraction. These benefits can reduce taxes or increase refunds, but only if receipts are saved. Eligible expenses include most school supplies, field trips, and musical instruments for school band.

Secondary and Online students are issued 1:1 Chromebooks, while Elementary students use them in the classroom and cannot take them home. If a Chromebook is lost or damaged, whether at school or at home, parents are required to cover the cost.
To help with costs, PACT offers optional Chromebook Insurance at $30 per student or $50 per family for the first repair, and additional costs for the second repair. Insurance does not cover repairs beyond that.
We highly recommend insurance, as repair costs can run into the hundreds of dollars. If you are interested in Chromebook Insurance, email helpdesk@pactcharter.org and provide your name, the student's name, and the student ID# (if known). You will be invoiced through ParentSquare.
