Community Education FAQ (Quarter 4)

Schedule:
  • Quarter 4 programs will run from the week of March 23 through May 20.
  • Programs are held only on school days; if school is not in session, the program will not meet.

Registration:
  • All registrations must be completed through Arbiter.
  • Registration closes for classes that hit the registration maximum.
  • Registration will stay open for classes that do not hit the registration maximum.
  • A minimum of 6 students is required for a program to run.
  • Maximum enrollment: 24 students per class.

Fees:
  • Standard programs: $140 per class for the quarter.

Fines:
To ensure the safety of all students and respect our staff’s time, we have a strict late pickup policy. Parents and guardians must pick up their children promptly at the end of each activity.
  • Late Fine: A fine will be issued for each late pickup and invoiced through your ParentSquare account.
  • Parents will be fined $25 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments ($6.25 for 15 minutes late, $12.50 for 30 minutes late).
  • The first late pick up of 15 minutes or less will result in a warning. The second will result in a fine, and the third will result in a fine and removal from the program for the remainder of the quarter.
  • Fees will not be reimbursed if a child is removed from a program.

Important Notes:
  • Community Education programs are separate from MSHSL-sponsored sports and do not count toward a family’s activity fee maximum.
  • Families eligible for free or reduced lunch may receive a 50% discount on one Community Education class per quarter by completing the Educational Benefits Form.
